Holy Nativity Convent was founded in 1968 as a community of American nuns, following the traditional Orthodox monastic life of prayer and labor. Located just outside of Boston, the convent lies on about 4 acres of fields, gardens and woods. We began to support ourselves at first by dipping candles and sewing church goods and as our numbers grew, we added other handicrafts. Now we are 17 sisters, following a daily routine of work, church services, and private prayer.  With your patronage of our handicrafts, we are able to continue to maintain our monastic lifestyle while at the same time bringing beautiful items of our rich Orthodox tradition into your own lives.
